Next Steps

The group has commissioned three underrepresented composers to write outreach-oriented works for the group to continue the mission born from this project, in promoting works that encourage a collaborative environment for the performers and audience. The group plans to program and promote these works extensively, in Delaware and beyond. They will premiere in 2023.

The group is also launching a number of projects that involve the creation of works for Eastern Standard and developing ensembles of different levels. The works are not "triple concertos", but collaborative works intended to showcase all of the performers and give each an opportunity to shine, as well as to perform in different roles. All of these works will invite audience members to collaborate in the performances and promote an active and engaged concert space.The first, a work for Eastern Standard and level 4 orchestra, is slated for premiere in November of 2023. The second, a work for Eastern Standard and level 4 band, is slated for premiere in December of 2023. The third project is the most enterprising, involving several composers and the creation of multiple level 2 flex instrumentation works to be premiered as an entire concert program in December of 2024.
